About Alphonso Smith

Even as a young child in Pahokee, Florida, football has played a very important role in Alphonso Smith’s life. He was a quarterback and defensive back for Pahokee High School’s championship football team and won several individual accolades for his athletic prowess. Following graduation, Alphonso Smith played football as a cornerback with the Wake Forest University Demon Deacons in North Carolina. Between 2004 and 2008, he was a starter for Coach Jim Grobe’s team and he managed to set a school record for interceptions.
